purchasing
These Table Top Units are not as large as
the commercial units but pack the same punch when it comes
to efficiency and ease of use. If you drop this extractor
you will break your foot, not your toe. These are heavy duty
extraction apparatus suitable for any lab environment.
Totally closed system allows one to use butane as a liquid
solvent in a safe manner. In addition, you no longer need to
evaporate your butane away. You can now recover the solvent
for reuse without the need for any heating mantles of
expensive chilling apparatus and it recovers the butane used
in as little as one hour.
In addition, you can add solvents to the butane for
extracting chemicals other than what butane is capable of.
Using polarity matching and chemical saturation you can add
exactly the solvent you need in exactly the amount you need
to use to ensure you get as much of the chemical you want
out of the plant material. You can even extract from the
same plant material twice with different solvents
combinations if desired. For lab testing speed and economy,
you will be ahead of your competition.
Originally
developed to test extraction solvent and herbal extract
combinations prior to investing in the expense of running
them through a larger extraction process. We soon discovered
the extreme efficiency in time, labor and money when using
these small extractors. We even built a small recovery tank
to recover and reuse the solvent used. Allowing even more
money and time to be saved.
Fast, Slow
Soak, Heated, Sub Freezing, Low Pressure or Higher Pressure.
This Extraction apparatus can do it. DONT BE IMTIMIDATED BY
USING PRESSURIZED SOLVENTS. This system is a closed and safe
system when performed according to instructions.
FEATURES
-
Use with disposable solvent canisters and recover
solvent for reuse.
- Extract in under 1 minute or
Extend the Extraction for as long as desired.
Use Rapid Burst, Soak or Slow Drip.
Use Heat applied to
solvent and plant matter or Extract Sub Freezing by
freezing the entire apparatus partially assembled.
You could place the whole extraction assembly into most
freezers to freeze the plant matter and butane prior to
extracting or create a cold extraction by purging the
bottom tank while extracting.
- Store solvent in tanks in
freezer when not in use.
- Use lower Pressure or add
Higher Air Pressure via external valve adaptor.
- Create Temperature differentials
in tanks independent of the other tanks to creates
vacuums and pressures to speed or slow extraction times.
Simply immerse bottom tank in ice and it pull the
solvent through from the top tank to the bottom tank in
less than a minute without purging the bottom tank.
- Purge the bottom tank for
freezing rapid extraction using disposable solvent
canisters or reusable tank and while using a safety
purge line.
- Recover all the butane in as
little as 1 hour.
- Use Butane alone or combine
with other solvents.
- Add other solvents to the
butane prior to passing it though the plant material or
add solvents to the butane after the extraction
completes to facilitate easy transport of extract after
the butane has been recovered. Or add it to the bottom
tank during assembly where it will mix with the butane
and extract after the butane completes extraction.
This is by far The Most Versatile
Extractor I have ever used !
I pondered the
idea that there could be a market that could make good use
of these table top extractors for the purpose of time
sensitive herbal remedies and homeopathic herbal
extractions.
In some herbal extractions, the active properties may only
last a few weeks or less before degrading rapidly. These
smaller extractors allow one to extract only what they can
use in a short period of time. Enhancing the quality of the
product being extracted out. I have used them to extract
kava kava, comfrey leaf, and rosemary oil to name a few.

A Basic Knowledge required is that
you know the polarity of the chemical you are extracting so
that you can match it to the polarity of the solvent used to
extract it out. They must match. You can find the polarity
of any solvent by searching the internet. And the polarity
of most plants, chemicals can be found the same way.
For example, Water and Oil do not mix because they are not
the same polarity. Alcohol and Water do mix because they do
match in polarity.
Butane is Very Non Polar, Most Oils are Non Polar. Most
components of plants that are not desired are Polar. Combine
this fact with the fact that Butane is NON TOXIC, Recovers
Easily for Reuse and you have a great extraction solvent.
Now you have an extractor that allows you to use it.
By matching these polarities, you can come very close to
isolating one or more properties of a plant material during
a single extraction by using a perfectly matched solvent
polarity of one or a combination of solvents with different
polarities. The types of solvents and the amount of solvent
used is explained more in the
FAQ. Located on the
Tamisium Extractions page and in greater detail in the
manual that comes with every extractor purchase.
You do not need high volumes of solvents to extract when
using butane as the carrier solvent. And when used as the
primary solvent, such as is the case in most oil
extractions, the extraction process really works well due to
the fact that you are sending almost 5 volumes of exactly
the solvent needed through the plant material when only a
1/2 of a volume may be all that would have been required.
There is almost a 5:1 ratio in the column capacity and the
solvent holding tank capacity of Tamisium Extractors. This
allows for an extremely efficient extraction.
An analogy that may better help you to visualize carrier
solvents and primary solvents is dishwashing. Water would be
the carrier solvent and soap can sort of be looked at as the
primary solvent. Once the soap has enacted its effects on
the water, oil and grease so that it can now be carried out
by the water, it is drained out and the grease is extracted
from the dishes. The only difference here is, in the
tamisium example, the carrier solvent (butane) is removed
during the evaporation or recovery process, leaving behind
the primary solvent and extracted properties of the plant or
oil.
Butane boils at 32 degrees Fahrenheit. The other primary
solvent as well as the extracted out chemicals boil at much
higher temperatures and will not evaporate with the butane.
This allows you to separate the several chemicals which is
what makes using BUTANE as a carrier solvent so incredible.
But when it can be used as the primary solvent alone, it
really shines.
Other than a
few internal differences, these smaller table tob extractors
are near exact replicas of our larger commercial Tamisium
Butane Extractors. We consider these units small enough to
move around in one piece and set on a table top when used.
You could place the whole extraction assembly into most
freezers to freeze the plant matter and butane prior to
extracting.
The time to set up these smaller extractors and recover the
lower volume of solvents used makes using this table top
tamisium butane extractors a breeze, .The smaller size means
you do not have to break them down to facilitate recovery of
the solvent. Just hook up the recovery tank and follow the
instructions. After a short wait or 1 hour, you should have
all the solvent back for use again.
Solvents other than butane may require a slightly longer
recover time.
With a Tamisium Butane Extractor the need for expensive
valves and high pressure lines and pumps are virtually
eliminated during the extraction process. The cost and
process of assembly is greatly reduced due to the fact that
this is a Totally Closed, low temperature, low pressure,
self contained system and process.
Due to the ability to purge pressure off while extracting,
we can claim no pressure is required and a pressure rating
is not needed. If pressure is created, do so with caution. I
have used them up to 150 psi without problem but I can not
approve it. I could have tested higher but the pump used
only went to 150. Pressure Approval Ratings are hard to
obtain and will come later but they are not available at
this time.
Various length safety purge lines are
available for a small charge. They essentially allow you to
purge off the solvent pressures to a safer area out of the
area you are working in completely.
You are not just buying a extractor.
You are buying a proven process and a method of extraction
as well as a low cost method of recovering the solvent so
you can spend your money on a system that saves you money in
the long run. RECOVER, RECYCLE, REUSE.
All Tamisium Extractors come with a
LIFETIME WARRANTY.

Every extractor comes with a Fully Illustrated
Operational Manual
|
|
Column capacity represents the volume of plant
material you can extract from with that particular
size extractor.
The weights are a guide to help you find the desired
coarseness you need to have your plant material
ground to in order to occupy the given space for an
efficient extraction to occur.
Each column represents 1/4 the volume of the solvent
required to extract from the column when full.
In other words. The solvent tanks are 4 times larger
than the column that holds the organic material
being extracted.
1 gallon translates into 1 kilo of material capacity
with most dried botanicals when ground up to the
proper coarseness
We do
not sell these extractors for indoor use in any
environment not properly set up to use any flammable
solvent for extraction purposes. As most solvents
are flamable. Please treat the extractor accordingly
no matter the solvent chosen to use.
These extractors are sold for use in professional
laboratory conditions operating under strict safety
guidelines.
NO SPARKS OR FLAMES SHOULD BE PRESENT WHEN ANY
FLAMMABLE SOLVENT IS USED.
